Tully Bait – New Film by Freewater Pictures

This was a super cool project to be involved in. A few months ago my friend Brendan Sharkey of Predator Fishing Ireland and myself had the pleasure to guide the guys from Swedish Film company Freewater Pictures to some Irish pike with their brand new bait: Tully-Bait, made by Swedish lure maker Magnus. First trout of the season 2020 in the boat!

The trout season here is open since the beginning of March and despite the fact that my guests were looking for pike, this was a welcome addition to the days catch. Of course the beautiful brown trout was released again…

First pike for Molly

Last week we had the pleasure of guiding US visitors Molly and her Dad Brian. The two of them had booked two half days with us and manged to catch a few nice pike on both days. While the real big pike proved elusive on the days (bar the one that got away on the first day), they nevertheless enjoyed catching these… Tight Lines!

Great start to autumn Pike season!

The first weeks of autumn already proved very successful for our visiting groups. the most spectacular catch was Fabian Frank’s massive pike measuring “only” 105cm, but weighing in at a whopping 29+lbs. Many other good pike were also caught including several 1m+ fish and the perch fishing was also very good and made for interesting fishing days.

End of Summer / early autumn update

Well, summer has been and gone, although weatherwise summer was hardly noticeable here in Ireland this year.
